Trinket Analysis: Mark II

Last month I did some work around generating lots of Trinket data for analysis.

The only catch is that to continue this sort of analysis it would require a lot more work to generate more trinket data, trinket pair combinations for interactions and somehow working out how to present this in an easy to read/understand format.

However, it struck me that rather than generating all this data and over-loading users a “less is more” approach may be a good idea, especially if it can be more flexible. Thus I have built a new google spreadsheet that allows you to quickly generate a simulationcraft profile to compare your current armory with a few alternative trinket setups.

It basically generates a profile like this:

armory=us,amanthul,Binkenstein
copy=1_BoC_WS trinket1=,id=139336,ilevel=865 trinket2=,id=139326,ilevel=865
copy=2_CS_NST trinket1=,id=137301,ilevel=840 trinket2=,id=137349,ilevel=850
copy=3_BoC_DSB trinket1=,id=139336,ilevel=865 trinket2=,id=140030,ilevel=840
copy=4_DSB_NST trinket1=,id=140030,ilevel=840 trinket2=,id=137349,ilevel=850
copy=5_BoC_TW trinket1=,id=139336,ilevel=870 trinket2=,id=139323,ilevel=865

Which you then copy into SimulationCraft and press the simulate button.

Currently only has pre 7.1 caster trinkets, but should have melee & Kara trinkets soon.

[Edit] Melee & Kara trinkets are in

    This is super helpful thank you! I was wondering if there was a way I could implement the World Quest stat sticks though. Not sure the correct way to put them into the spreadsheet with the bonus IDs.

      The stat sticks are different in that they’re just fixed stats, but the actual stats are somewhat random. I’ve got some other things I want to do first before trying to tackle those, especially since stat weights can easily be used to give the trinkets value.
