Trait Self Evaluation


Similar to the recent self evaluation spreadsheet I’ve set up for Trinkets, which helps you configure a series of SimCraft config options to run your current armory profile with various trinket changes, I’ve set one up for Traits too.

Update 23rd Nov: Have updated the spreadsheet to fix an issue where the copy command copies the previous profile rather than the original. Now uses copy=<name>,<sourcename>

The Spreadsheet

This one requires a little more configuration as I need to remove any relics you may have from the import before adding 1 of each rank to the batch commands. I’m also adding an override on the artifact item level so you can compare the 4th rank of a trait with 1-5 additional weapon item levels.

Note that running a combination of 3 bonus traits at once is the best way to evaluate things rather than the 1 bonus rank that this gives, but this is a good starting point. I’ll eventually add a second sim profile generation option for trait combos.

Currently supports: Mage (Arcane/Fire/Frost), Shaman (Ele/Enh) and Monk (Windwalker).

Other specs can be added later, if requested. Will need a list of traits that have 3 ranks & notes as to which need to be evaluated, plus being supported in SimCraft (so tanks/healers are out of luck).

Notes

The individual trait analysis looks at your base artifact (ie: without relic bonuses) + 1 rank.

The Artifact+X entries look at how increasing the item level of your artifact by 1 compares to adding extra trait ranks.

    After long-long simulation as elemental i got The_Ground_Trembles top relic. Its noncence in Patcwerk fight. What i am doing wrong ?

      Got the EQ legendary? Otherwise I have no idea and would suggest reviewing the spreadsheet and/or the sim results.

    The copy= function is copying the profile above it, not the stripped armory profile, so the trait overrides are persisting through to the next sim. The earthquake trait is simming stongest because it is listed last and has the combined might of all the other traits at rank 4. I was able to brute force fix it by just resetting the override for each copy. My simulate tab looked like this:
